Government Backed Schemes @ Brainology Tuition
You can use a selection of these schemes at Brainology Tuition as all our tuition centres are Ofsted registered tuition centres. Below is a breakdown of the different schemes and their respective eligibility criteria.

Help With Fees via Working Tax Credit

Parents who register their children with us may be able to receive support with the costs under the Childcare Element of Working Tax Credit.

This means that subject to assessment by HM Revenue & Customs, parents may be able to receive help with up to 70% of their fees. This means your child can receive support with us without having to worry about affordability.

You can enrol you child at Brainology Tuition Centre to be eligible to receive the Childcare Element of Working Tax Credit. You need to be working 16 hours or more a week. If you are part of a couple, you both need to be working 16 hours or more a week. You can only claim childcare costs for any child up to the Saturday following 1st September after their 15th birthday.

Help via Universal Credits

Universal Credit will replace Working Tax Credit and many other benefits. Universal Credit is being introduced in stages

across the UK. When your area moves to Universal Credit you’ll receive information from the Department for Work and

Pensions (DWP) if you are already in receipt of an applicable benefit.

There is an additional allowance for families who need help with approved childcare costs.

Help via Tax-Free Childcare

For working families

With children between 0-15 (or 0-16 if disabled)


For every £8 you pay in, the government will add an extra £2, up to £2,000 per child per year.

Tax-Free Childcare has been introduced by the government to support working parents with the costs of childcare, the childcare provider must be Ofsted registered.

Eligible parents can open an online account to make childcare payments.You will be eligible if you are a single working parent or a couple where both parents are working and earning over £120 per week, but no more than £100,000 per year.

Additional support is available for disabled children.

Help via Childcare Grants

For full time students

With children between 0-14 (or 0-16 if disabled)

Get up to 85% off your childcare costs, up to a cap

The grant is available to full-time students who are receiving or are eligible for a student finance package. The grant can be used at Brainology Tuition as all our tuition centres are Ofsted registered tuition centres. If you are a part-time student or receive Working Tax Credits, then you won’t be eligible for this grant as well.
