We will be running Mock tests throughout the year in order to prepare students for their upcoming 11+ tests.

Each test will be run on a Saturday between 10:00am - 2:30pm. You will be given specific times upon registration.

The test day includes two papers, comprising of 100 questions per paper. Each paper will last 50 minutes and there will be a short interval between the tests.

Parents will recieve a detailed report, breaking down each test paper by topic and highlighting areas of strengths and weaknesses.

Verbal Reasoning

Verbal reasoning is almost always included in exam papers for selective schools, and relies on a strong vocabulary that goes beyond the primary curriculum.

Although verbal reasoning skills are not commonly taught at school, we give children the strategies needed to confidently tackle these types of questions.

Non-verbal reasoning

Non-verbal reasoning tests are designed to assess how well a child can analyse visual information and solve problems by using visual logic.

Non-verbal reasoning is generally not taught in school. The questions involve code and shape sequences, where children will be asked to deduce how they relate to each other.

Maths

Every parent wants to give their child the best chances at school. 11 Plus maths tuition can help boost their confidence and prepare them for the future.

So what does the maths exam involve?

The 11 Plus maths tests cover a huge range of topics, which your child will be taught throughout Key Stage 2, but at an advanced level.

The content of the tests will vary depending on your area; there are a number of key areas which the tests will cover.

English

So what does the English exam involve?

The 11 Plus English exams for grammar, private or independent schools can come in a variety of formats, depending on the local area and the school requirements.

As English is taught as part of the school curriculum, your child should be familiar with many of the topics covered in the 11+ English exams, however the exams will include higher level questions for each concept.
